Great Urswick;

Great Urswick is an ancient Low Furness Village encircling the picturesque Urswick Tarn, on which Residents have Boating and Fishing rights.  There are 2 excellent Public Houses in the village (the Derby Arms and the General Burgoyne).   The General Burgoyne enjoys an enviable reputation for good food.  The charming Market Town of Ulverston is within an easy 10 minute car ride and the industrial town of Barrow (particularly famous as the Nuclear Submarine building centre) can be reached with 15 minutes or so.   The boundary of the spectacular Lake District National Park is at Greenodd on the A590 and J36 of the M6 is within 30 minutes.
